Location:  The Salt Lick is located in the 9000 block of FM 1793 in Karnack, TX. The property is situated 164 miles from Dallas, approximately 9 miles south of Jefferson, 9.5 miles north of Marshall, and 7 miles from Caddo Lake State Park. It is also a short 45-minute drive to Shreveport, TX.

This region of Harrison County is well known for its strong whitetail deer population. The combination of high-quality water sources and abundant successional vegetation creates an ideal habitat for deer and other wildlife. The lake has been stocked with F1 largemouth bass, redear sunfish, Coppernose bluegill, and various baitfish species. It has also produced several largemouth bass exceeding 10 pounds.

Easements: Several natural gas pipelines cross portions of the property, with one transmission line running across the southernmost corner. Additionally, two electric service line easements are present on the property. 

Utilities: Panola Harrison Electric Co-op provides electricity to the meter located north of the lake, while SWEPCO supplies power to the cabin. Two water wells currently serve the property.

Minerals:  The seller does not own the mineral estate.  

Property Taxes: For 2024, property taxes were approximately $175. The property currently benefits from an agricultural exemption.
