Cathy Green was raised in Quinlan, TX near Lake Tawakoni, and although she is a real estate sales and marketing professional, she is still a country girl, at heart. Her great-great grandparents pioneered Quinlan and had the first hotel and livery stable. Growing up on a farm with horses, cows, chickens, and huge garden, she had an immediate love for nature and animals. She enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and skiing growing up and continues to do so now. She played softball and basketball and loved going to football games. Cathy could often be found with her brother and guy friends, frog gigging, hunting, target shooting, off-roading and rodeoing.

After working at a Government Aircraft Contractor a few years after high school, Cathy married and became a full-time mother to a two-year old son and four-year old daughter. She worked with her husband, running the home office for an Oil Investment Company and Network Marketing Company. Cathy gave birth to a daughter six years later and continued to support a home office, as well as being a full-time mother to three. Cathy loves being a mother and although her kids are now adults, was very active with their sports, coaching softball, basketball, volleyball and was a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She was also a very active hockey mom to her son, who played throughout high school. She also became a huge Dallas Stars fan at that time and still loves to go to games. She has been active in the Dallas Stars Foundation fundraising events. Cathy also learned to play golf and has been active in many fundraising golf tournaments such as Lil Warriors Foundation, Casey Joyce Foundation, Guzman23 Foundation and National Kidney Foundation.

Several years after Cathy became a single mother, she was determined to fulfill a long-awaited goal, to return to college and earn a Bachelor degree. She takes pride in accomplishing this goal, all the while still working full time. She graduated in 2016 with a BAAS in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, with a minor in Psychology, from the University of North Texas.

Cathy has been in the real estate industry for years in Mortgage on the Retail and Wholesale Side, VP of Marketing & Sales for Title Insurance, Residential Realtor and is a Notary Public National Signing Agent. She has taken Real Estate classes in Residential, Commercial and Farm and Ranch. She is also active in several of the surrounding Chambers of Commerce and Networking Groups. In addition to her education and work experience, Cathy's people skills, sales and marketing skills and real estate knowledge are a great foundation for her role as Director of Sales and Marketing and in contributing to the growth and expansion of Hortenstine Ranch Company for many years to come.
