Description: The Hollingsworth Game Ranch is a high fenced hunting ranch with scenic terrain, abundant water, prime habitat, and an impressive assortment of native and exotic trophy wildlife. The ranch headquarters is setup and ready for immediate use, easily capable of accommodating a small family up to large corporate groups. The property is ideal for private recreation, growing trophy game, and/or a commercial hunting operation.
Wildlife & Hunting: Featured wildlife species include whitetail deer, red deer, axis, blackbuck antelope, turkey, and dove. Your choice of hunting setup is provided with three (3) large tower blinds (30’, 20’ and 20’ tall respectively), seven (7) bow/rifle combination box blinds, four (4) open top blinds, and two (2) tree blinds. Numerous wildlife feeding stations are scattered throughout the ranch with protein and corn feeders in place. Additionally, there are two fields (35+/- and 4+/- acres) that have historically been utilized as wildlife food plots.
Headquarters: The ranch provides a comfortable 2,800 SF two-story 5/2 rustic ranch home with 1,400 SF of covered porches and a large 800 SF deck off the upstairs master. In addition to the home, a very functional 3,000 SF shop with office, kitchen, and 450 SF second floor bunk-room is also provided. Under roof and attached to the shop is a fully equipped game cleaning station and 8’ x 8’ walk-in cooler. As if that weren’t enough, a rifle range with covered shooting station is available to ensure that your aim is true, and a rock fire pit awaits to share tales of the day’s hunt. (Note: Square footages are approximate.)
Terrain: Tree cover consists of live oak, post oak, red oak, elm, pecan, hackberry, and mesquite. Some of the live oaks are massive older trees and there are thick stands of post oak forest that stretch through the property. Very little cedar is found on the ranch in comparison to the surrounding area. Approximately 100’ of rolling elevation change creates scenic views across the ranch and adds character to the land.
Water: A 3.5+/- acre bass lake, 5 ponds, and seasonal creek provide good surface water for recreation, wildlife, and livestock. The creek is part of the headwaters for Rocky Creek and converges with another branch near the southeast corner of the property. Underground water in the area is excellent and the ranch provides 3 submersible pump water wells and 1 working windmill water well.
Fences & Roads: All of the ranch’s 4+ miles of perimeter is 8’ tall game fence and is served by two large entrances off of FM 2823. The main entrance is flanked by rock columns on either side and provides entry by automatic gate. A 1-3/4 acre soft release pen is located at the headquarters. The ranch has an extensive network of interconnected roads and trails providing good travel through the property.
Electricity: United Cooperative Services provides electrical service to the ranch.
